Cursive Handwriting Champ!
Students at BVAMS have been practicing their cursive handwriting skills for the past quarter. Various competitions have been held, and prizes have been awarded! The quarter ended with students participating in an “Escape Room” activity where students had to figure out answers to clues and correctly “write” the answers in order to “escape” their home rooms and receive a sweet treat.
At the beginning of the event, several students were chosen to help develop and design the activities for their peers. They were instrumental in making this activity fun and successful.
The Cursive Writing Champ competition was also held during this time. Students were instructed to practice and then submit their signatures for judging by the teachers. Congratulations to Rosalyn Perozzi for winning the highest award!

As BVAMS students practice cursive writing, they are also participating in a scavenger hunt. There are eight educational questions posted in random areas of the school; a student must “write” the correct answer to all eight questions and then submit their results.
Last week’s winners were Tyler Waldmann and Abby Peden. They each received $15 worth of gift certificates for local restaurants.
